St. Mark United Methodist Church sponsors a respite care program in Birmingham, Alabama. We care for children ages birth-13 with disabilities and chronic/terminal illnesses, and their siblings. We provide this care the first Friday of every month and it is free to the community. We provide activities such as arts and crafts, snack, gym/recreation, free play, and movies.

The program is run through 4 teams. Each team consists of 12-20 trained members and at least 2 medical professionals. Each team takes it's turn once every 4 months.
